This intensive 2-day workshop is designed to strengthen the knowledge, technical skills, and clinical decision-making required to safely perform regional anesthesia in infants and children.
Through focused lectures, real pediatric case discussions, expert demonstrations, and supervised scanning practice, participants learn how pediatric anatomy, local anesthetic dosing, equipment selection, and procedural techniques differ from adult regional anesthesia.
Group numbers are intentionally limited, providing more time for direct faculty interaction, individual guidance, and hands-on practice.
The curriculum follows a carefully sequenced structure, progressing from pediatric dosing principles and ultrasound anatomy to upper-limb, lower-limb, thoracic, abdominal wall, neuraxial, and perineal regional anesthesia techniques.
Each procedural module combines focused instruction with faculty demonstration and supervised hands-on scanning. Real-world case discussions reinforce clinical reasoning, block selection, safety considerations, and the practical application of regional anesthesia across different pediatric age groups.
Faculty remain available throughout the workshop to provide individual guidance, answer questions, and help participants refine their scanning technique.

Pediatric regional anesthesia requires more than transferring adult techniques to smaller patients. It demands an understanding of age-specific anatomy, physiology, dosing, equipment, safety, and clinical indications.
Throughout the workshop, experienced pediatric anesthesia faculty guide participants through the practical decisions involved in selecting, adapting, and performing regional anesthesia techniques for infants and children.
What sets the faculty experience apart:
Registration includes complimentary 3-month access to the NYSORA Nerve Blocks App and Anesthesia Assistant App, available through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Together, the apps provide step-by-step regional anesthesia techniques, clinical illustrations, videos, anesthesiology reference content, and point-of-care decision support that participants can continue using after the workshop.
An application has been made to the UEMS EACCME® for CME accreditation of this event.
What is a CME activity? A Continuing Medical Education(CME) activity serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public, or the profession.
Why do physicians need continuing medical education (CME) credit? Physicians use CME credit to demonstrate that they have participated in educational activities and obtained CME credit to document meeting the requirements of state medical boards, medical specialty societies, specialty boards, hospital medical staffs, the Joint Commission, insurance groups, and others.
Who accredits the Course? Accreditation by the EACCME means that the CME/CPD activity provided is of high scientific value, is free of commercial bias and promotes active adult learning. This is of paramount importance to doctors who need to report to their National Accreditation Authority on their CME/CPD activity over a certain period of time, and this even more now that many national systems are (becoming) mandatory and not voluntary. By attending an EACCME accredited event, they will be able to obtain European CME credits (ECMEC) which are recognised not only in a majority of European countries (with which the EACCME has signed agreements), but also in the USA and Canada. By handing in their EACCME certificate to their National Accreditation Authority, their credits will automatically be recognised and converted into national credits.
What documentation does a physician receive for participating in a certified CME activity provided by an accredited CME provider? A CME certificate will be issued and can be used to prove attendance.
